Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk of choice Use almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk for dairy-free option.
  • 3 tbsp chestnut praline syrup Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 oz espresso or brewed coffee Can substitute with decaf coffee.
  • 1 cup whipped cream Optional topping.
Optional Spiced Sugar Topping
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar Optional for spiced sugar topping.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon Optional for spiced sugar topping.
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger Optional for spiced sugar topping.
  • 1/8 tsp cloves Optional for spiced sugar topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. If using the spiced sugar topping, stir together the sugar, cinnamon, ground ginger, and cloves in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, whisk together the milk and chestnut praline syrup.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat until it starts to steam and foam. Do not let it boil.
  4. Remove from heat. If you want foam, froth the milk mixture using a milk frother or whisk.
  5. Brew your espresso or coffee into your favorite mug.
  6. Pour the chestnut praline milk over the brewed coffee, including all the foam.
  7. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle the spiced sugar topping over it if desired.

Notes

Serve hot for the best experience. Pairs well with muffins, scones, or biscotti. Leftover milk mixture can be stored in the fridge. Avoid freezing the latte once made.
