Preparation
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix hash brown crust ingredients and press into the bottom and sides of the baking dish.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until the edges start to brown.
Filling
- In the same bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper, then stir in sausage pieces and 1 cup of shredded cheese.
- Pour filling into the baked hash brown crust and bake for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until eggs are set.
- Remove from oven, serve warm, and enjoy!
- Let the casserole sit for 8 to 10 minutes before cutting.
Notes
Store leftover casserole in an airtight container for up to 4 days. If freezing, cut into portions and store in freezer-safe containers. Thaw overnight before reheating.
