Ingredients
  

Casserole Components
  • 2 pounds Ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to substitute with other cheeses if desired.
  • 1 bag Shoestring French fries (28 oz) Follow package directions for preparation.
  • 1/2 cup Diced yellow onion
  • 1 can Cheddar cheese soup (10.5 oz) Can substitute with homemade cheese sauce.
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon Minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Pickle juice Adds tang to the sauce.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dehydrated onions Optional seasoning for added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Follow the package directions to air fry the French fries until crispy. Once done, set them aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium-high heat until the beef is browned. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, then drain excess grease.
Assembling and Baking
  1. Reduce the heat to medium and add the cheddar cheese soup and cream of mushroom soup to the beef mixture. Mix until smooth.
  2. Spoon the cheesy beef mixture into a casserole dish. Layer the crispy French fries on top, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over everything.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, pickle juice, dehydrated onions, and black pepper. Mix until creamy.
Finishing Touches
  1. After removing the casserole from the oven, drizzle the burger sauce over the top before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. For freezing, cool completely, wrap tightly, and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
