  • 1 shot freshly brewed espresso or 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee Espresso gives a robust flavor.
Milk and Sweeteners
  • 1 cup whole milk (or your preferred milk) Almond milk can be used as a dairy-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons caramel dolce syrup Use a sweeter syrup for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar Can be omitted for sugar-free version.
Toppings and Garnishes
  • to taste whipped cream Optional, for topping.
  • to taste caramel sauce For drizzling on top.
  • a sprinkle of sea salt Optional, enhances sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brew a shot of espresso or prepare a strong cup of coffee.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the caramel dolce syrup and brown sugar. Heat over low to medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Heat the milk in a saucepan or microwave until warm, then froth until velvety.
Assembly
  1. Pour the freshly brewed espresso or coffee into a glass or mug.
  2. Gently pour the frothed milk over the coffee.
  3. Drizzle warm caramel dolce syrup over the milk.
  4. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of sea salt, if desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Don't freeze as it may change texture and flavor.
