Ingredients
  

Doughnut Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose baking mix Can substitute with gluten-free baking mix.
  • 1/4 cup sugar Can reduce or use sugar substitute for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 cup milk Any kind of milk can be used, including non-dairy options.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
Topping (Optional)
  • to taste powdered sugar or glaze Optional for serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose baking mix and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill the doughnut pan about 2/3 full with the batter.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 6 to 12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Let the doughnuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  3. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or glaze before serving.

Notes

These cake doughnuts can be paired with Greek yogurt or a fruit salad for a balanced meal. They are also customizable to fit various dietary needs. Store in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze for longer storage.
