Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter (1 stick) Core ingredient
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Optional, for extra richness
  • 4 cloves Garlic (Minced) Adds depth
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning Adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Smoked Paprika For smoky flavor
  • ½ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional, for extra heat
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley (Finely chopped) For freshness and color
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Brightens the sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Salt Adjust if Cajun seasoning is salty

Method

Cooking the Sauce
  1. Melt butter and olive oil (if using) in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
  3. Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for another minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in fresh parsley, lemon juice, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more Cajun seasoning for extra spice, salt for more saltiness, or lemon juice for brightness.
  7. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

Store the sauce in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat gently on low heat to prevent butter from separating. For longer storage, freeze in an ice cube tray and use within 3 months.
