  • 1/4 cup Butter, Melted
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, add the melted butter and brown sugar. Whisk them together until well combined.
  2. Slowly stir in the heavy cream. Make sure everything mixes well.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, cooking for about 3 minutes.
  4. After 3 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Let the butterscotch sauce cool slightly before serving or storing.

Notes

Store the sauce in a heat-safe container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. You can freeze it for 3 months as well. Reheat before using.
