Ingredients
  

For the hot chocolate
  • 2 cups milk (preferably whole) You can use almond milk or oat milk as alternatives.
  • 2/3 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 4 1/2 oz vodka Can be substituted with other spirits like rum or peppermint schnapps.
For toppings
  • Sweetened whipped cream Can use flavored whipped cream for additional taste.
  • Additional chocolate chips (both white and dark) For garnishing on top.

Method
 

Preparing the hot chocolate
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the milk.
  2. Once the milk is warm and bubbles start to form around the edges, stir in both types of chocolate chips.
  3. Whisk constantly until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vodka.
  5. Divide the hot chocolate mixture between two mugs.
  6. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top as desired.

Notes

Boozy Zebra Hot Chocolate is best enjoyed fresh, but any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat gently before serving.
