Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces blood oranges Select ripe oranges with a vibrant color.
  • 1 bottle sparkling wine or champagne Any dry sparkling wine or champagne works well.
  • optional sprigs fresh mint leaves For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by selecting ripe blood oranges. Look for oranges that are firm with a vibrant color.
  2. Cut the blood oranges in half and juice them using a juicer or citrus squeezer. Try to remove any seeds from the juice.
  3. Measure about 1 part blood orange juice to 2 parts sparkling wine. You can adjust the ratio based on your taste.
Serving
  1. Fill each champagne flute halfway with the blood orange juice.
  2. Slowly pour the sparkling wine over the juice in each glass to create a beautiful layered effect.
  3. Gently stir the drink with a spoon to mix the ingredients slightly, if desired.
  4. Garnish with a fresh sprig of mint, if desired, for added flavor and decoration.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Serve the mimosa in tall champagne flutes. Chill the glasses in the fridge for extra flair. Best enjoyed fresh and cold.
