- Wash blackberries and lemon. Peel and grate the ginger.
- In a shaker or jar, add blackberries and ginger. Muddle until berries break and ginger releases juices.
- Add lemon juice and simple syrup or sweetener. Muddle a little more to mix.
- Add vodka and ice. Close the shaker and shake hard for about 15 seconds.
- Strain into a glass with fresh ice. If you prefer more texture, skip straining and pour the whole mix.
- Top with a splash of club soda for a lighter option. Stir gently.
- Garnish with a lemon wheel and a blackberry. Serve cold.
Notes
For a lighter or diabetic-friendly drink, use erythritol or stevia syrup. For lower calorie versions, top with soda water and skip the simple syrup.
