Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground chicken or turkey for a high-protein option
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs gluten-free if desired
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for brushing

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into chick figures, forming rounded bodies and little wings. Place each formed chick on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the shaped chicks to help them crisp up in the oven.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicks are golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

These Baby Chicks are incredibly versatile! Serve them with a side of steamed vegetables or a salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
