Blending
- In a high-speed blender or food processor, add all the prepared ingredients.
- Blend the mixture until smooth. If too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water to reach the desired consistency.
Final Adjustments
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning as necessary, adding more brown sugar, vinegar, or pimento seeds to your liking.
- Pour the blended mixture into a sterilized glass jar. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 24 hours to let the flavors meld.
Notes
Authentic Jerk Sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or frozen for about three months. Adjust spice levels and experiment with flavors like smoked paprika or citrus to suit your taste.
