Serving Tools
  • 1 Chilled glass or small bowl Preferably chilled to slow melting.
  • 1 Small spoon To enjoy the dessert slowly.

Method

Preparation
  1. Chill your serving glass for at least 5 minutes in the freezer.
  2. Scoop 1 to 2 generous scoops of gelato into the chilled glass.
Espresso Preparation
  1. Brew a fresh double shot of espresso while the gelato is chilling.
Assembly
  1. Pour the hot espresso gently over the gelato, starting around the edges and then across the top.
  2. Add optional toppings like shaved chocolate, chopped nuts, or a drizzle of brown sugar syrup if desired.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy while the edges are melty.

Notes

Use hot espresso for the best flavor and aroma. Chill the cup to help keep the dessert creamy for longer. If using store-bought gelato, let it soften for a minute on the counter for perfect scoops.
